In 12 days, we will be hosting the MGA Four-ball championship, MGA Four-ball, on both golf courses. We have been extremely busy getting the courses ready for tournament play. This has included sod patching around greens and fairways, extensive bunker work, major brush chipping and cleanup, and increasing green speed/firmness. The month of April was on our side with its dryness, allowing us to load over 100 tons of sand into the bunkers on the North course. We are working diligently on the South course this week and plan to load approximately 60-80 tons of sand. The greens are getting extra special attention as we continue to monitor the moisture levels hourly while the sun is up. Monitoring moisture levels allows us to get the best speed/firmness possible while still keeping the greens healthy. We will also be slice seeding a handful of tees this week to help increase overall density. As you can tell, we have been very busy preparing for this big event, but also for everyday regular play. Please stay tuned as pictures and videos will be added to portray all of the hard work in action. See you on the course!
